This Filemaker demo has been designed to show you one method for resizing text in a field so that the text fits within the space available.
It works by calculating the Height of the Field Object as it is rendered and compares it to the Height of the Field Object as it was designed.
If the difference in height is greater than the allowable difference, then the font size is altered until the font is rendered using the correct font size.
If anyone can point me to getting the font size of a field without styled text, please let me know - the only way I have figured out how to do this is to export the file as XML and parse it. There may be a demo for this later on
Currently the easiest way around this, is to pass the field Text Size as designed as a script parameter. Exporting XML and then parsing it takes tooooo long.

No Sample File yet, this is a HACK for FileMaker Desktop versions.
The video below shows that you can use multiple card windows to build your own interface.
There are 2 templates, which use the same card windows in different layout formats.
Each of the elements or zones are a different card window, showing a specific layout.
The top menu is always the top menu layout, regardless of the context of the data displayed in other windows.
everything is done in FileMaker, without plugins, except the "Window Move" as FileMaker does not expose an onWindowMove action to us.
For that, I wrote a small helper application which moves Pseudo child windows along with their Pseudo parent window.
This is not really needed if the FileMaker file is always maximized.
I hope to write more information soon on how this is done
This FileMaker demo has been designed to show you one method for to detecting a link in a text field and going to that link.
Included are a couple of custom function
isLink - checks to see if there is a . : or / in the provided text and returns True if there is
formatLinks - adds blue text and underline to any links it finds in the text
getTextAtSelection - gets the text at the current cursor point between spaces.
